W.J.T Mitchell
W.J.T. Mitchell is Professor of Art History and Literature at the University of Chicago, and editor of Critical Inquiry. His books include Iconology (1987), Picture Theory (1994), which received the Morey Prize in art history from the College Art Association, and his most recent publication The Last Dinosaur Book: The Life and Times of a Cultural Icon (1998). He has also edited several books, including The Language of Images (1980), Art and the Public Sphere (1992) and Landscape and Power (1993).
