This is the first monograph by Randa Shaath. Her work over the last two decades includes three series of black-and-white photography: the lives of people who live on the rooftops of Cairo city, portraits of a cross-section of society (from painters to parking attendants), and documentation of the lives of farmers and fishermen who live on Qursaya island in the Nile, Cairo.
